Truthfully, I couldn't resist the temptation of watching a korean drama over winter break. (HAHA! I was due for one!) I haven't finished one since Boys over Flowers & Dalja's Spring is currently on hold. (my dad rented me that drama back in june & we still haven't return it. (: i hope i don't have a big bill for it. :P) Anyways, I had a list of korean dramas that I had to choose from! From 'Stairway to Heaven' (i think i may be hitting that drama next! that is, after i go back to Dalja's Spring. -_-) to 'Coffee Prince' to 'It Started With A Kiss', there were so many dramas that I wanted to watch! ): What made me choose You're Beautiful? One website. allkpop.com. (HEHE!) &, truthfully, i`m really happy that I chose You're Beautiful! It's such a good drama! It made cry and laugh hysterically all within one episode. If a korean drama can do that to me, & all in one episode, it's a keeper dammit. (:
a few things about You're Beautiful:1. it's beautiful. (;
2. jung yong-hwa (who plays kang shin woo in the drama) is HOT.
3. it's like a drama that mixed boys over flowers, hana kimi, & coffee prince together. (not very original if you ask me but then again, what's original today? look at movies coming out in the states today! all remakes...) girl dresses up like a guy and pretends to be one. girl tries to fit in some kind of all guys thing but ends up FAILING miserably. girl falls in love with main guy (who generally hates her at first and is a TOTAL jerk but ends up falling for her) but then another guy (his 'best friend' who's SO MUCH HOTTER/nicer/caring/HOTTER/smarter) ends up falling for her too. somewhere along the way, another girl (usually evil & quick-witted) is introduced and she causes conflicts between the two main characters which causes them to fight endlessly and have very emotional drama. in the end, the better option loses and the girl and main guy ends up together after facing numerous struggles.
4. pig-rabbit (introduced in episode 9) is so kawaii! i want one too!
5. jung yong-hwa is now on the top of my future husbands list.
6. park shin-hye (the main girl) has an amazing resemblance to park eun hye!
7. i'm convinced that jang geun-seok is secretly jun pyo. so many similarities between them. (;
8. many scenes made me believe that lee hong-ki (who plays jeremy & is lead singer of ft island) is actually gay. his blonde hair does him no justice. :P
9. i think i found my drama crack for this year.
10. i love the cast! all of them! (: even uee.
11. jung yong-hwa & i belong together.
wish me luck in finishing this drama before christmas! -tear- i`m only on episode 9. ):< & i started on monday... -_-
